Nestled between the Mediterranean beauty and grandeur of Sierra Nevada there is a place in the south of the province of Granada that Federico García Lorca described as “a country nowhere”: La Alpujarra.
In places that will not be forgotten, is the Juan Reyes estate, owned by the family Nestares Rincón since 1927. To get there we have to cross road with little traffic that invite drive slowly and admire the landscape. This place makes you feel immediately that the stress of city life and daily routine disappears.
The history of this land is marked by its geological provenance, the Alpujárride Complex, that “determines” this unique land where vines have grown through the centuries. The history is linked to this land as this land is linked to its customs, landscapes and people.
With the fifth generation already with us, this family has managed to reinvent itself from the tradition of making typical wine until current quality wines from Bodegas Nestares Rincón, guaranteed by the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) “Wines of Granada”.
